Rat Hammock Tutorials
I started out making a PDF file with instructions for making
rattie hammocks so that I could keep it loaded on my tablet
for reference as I sewed. This worked so much better for me
than juggling the printed instructions for the various rat sewing
projects I have worked on.
When the pictures on one of the sites I frequently referenced
suddenly were no longer available online, I realized that I
should take pictures of the steps as I worked and add them to
the PDF files, so I would have a visual reference if ever any
of the online sources I referenced went offline.
After starting this, I realized that this PDF file would probably
be useful to others, so I started adding an introduction and
more details to the file, so that others could download this
PDF and use it as a reference themselves.
Note that I did not invent most of these hammock designs (I
have made up a few - but I have yet to get them added to the
file). I learned from other sources online. However, the instructions
are all written in my own words and they may have been modified
to do things the way I do them or the sizes may have been modified
so that they work better for my rats and cages (I have males
in a Dual Critter Nation and in a Martins Cage). The photos
were all taken by me. Forgive any sewing irregularities that
may be present as I do not claim to be a master seamstress -
just good enough to keep the rats happy.
Because I need to remake all of the projects in order to get
pictures of each step and then edit the pictures with notes,
this PDF is a work in progress. So far, I have tutorials for
the following projects:
I will update the above list as I add projects to the PDF File.
